Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) are eager to recruit an AHP 1 and AHP 2 Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated team at our brand-new Modbury Mental Health Rehab Unit, to help us deliver exceptional care to our community.

About the Role:

The Modbury Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit offers contemporary, evidence based, and high quality rehabilitation services. The multidisciplinary team play a key role in delivering person centred, trauma informed care within a collaborative environment. The MMHRU delivers rehabilitation services that are compassionate, solution focused, promoting skill development, social inclusion, and supporting consumers to achieve their recovery goals. Staff work in close connection with both Wondakka (Community Rehabilitation Centre) and The Gully services, supporting mental health rehabilitation service innovation and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and co-design.

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is a leading provider of public healthcare services in South Australia.

AHP 1 - As a developing practitioner, you'll conduct assessments under supervision, implement established treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions. You'll participate in therapeutic groups, assist with discharge planning, and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings while building your clinical expertise in mental health rehabilitation.

AHP 2 - In this autonomous role, you'll conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualised treatment plans, and lead complex interventions. You'll facilitate therapeutic groups independently, provide clinical supervision to junior staff, contribute to service development initiatives, and collaborate extensively with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and allied health professionals in discharge planning and family education.

To be eligible for this position, you must have an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
