Connect APAC have been exclusively engaged by a leading Australian FMCG Organisation in their search for a National Account Manager. Reporting into the National Sales Manager, the role is tasked with managing a variety of key retail accounts including; Aldi and Costco, a variety of key Petrol and Convenience accounts and lastly Ecommerce accounts such as Amazon. This National Account Manager role is responsible for managing the commercial performance and relationships within the portfolio of Alternate Trade accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute and develop strategy in line with the organisational objectives.
  • Build and maintain high quality relationships with key retail partners.
  • Manage sales, profit and promotional budgets for your retail portfolio.
  • Work cross functionally with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the category review process.
  • Provide up-to-date forecasts for all lines within your portfolio, aligned to scan data performance (where available).
  • Manage the NPD & deletion process within your retail portfolio (communication, timings, commercials).

Key Requirements:

  • Experience at National Account Manager or similar with key retail accounts such as; Discounters, Grocery, Mass or P&C.
  • Analytical with a good understanding of scan data.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively.
  • Able to work cross functionally with Category, Marketing, Supply Chain etc.
