Overview

Australian citizenship is mandatory as this is a federal government role. We are looking for skilled Business Analysts to join a Tier 1 Systems Integrator delivering a large-scale Federal Government program. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile, national initiative with a flexible location arrangement Canberra preferred.

Roles and Responsibilities

As a Business Analyst, you will:

  • Engage with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements for complex ICT projects.
  • Develop business process models, workflows, and user stories to support solution design.
  • Conduct requirement workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions with stakeholders across business and technical teams.
  • Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements for delivery teams.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Solution Architects, and Developers to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.
  • Facilitate impact analysis, gap analysis, and feasibility studies to inform decision-making.
  • Support the development of test plans and assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate solutions.
  • Create and maintain clear documentation, including business requirements documents (BRDs), user stories, and traceability matrices.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to drive project success and value delivery for the client.
