The Role :

We are seeking a Casual Catering Assistant to work at one of our key education sites in Marion, just a 25-minute drive from Adelaide.

The key to our success is our people. In this hands-on role, you will provide friendly, attentive, and efficient service to our valued students through meal preparation, cooking, and food service. You'll be responsible for preparing and serving meals at a busy private school.

Job Description

Roster : Approximately 20 hours per week

• Up to five days over seven (during school term time)
• Various evening shifts available from Monday to Sunday, in consultation with the successful candidate and based on business needs
• Availability required across weekdays and weekends

What This Role Involves :

Customer service - serving our students meals and snacksServing customers in our caféDishwashing, cleaning, and maintaining kitchen and dining areasAssisting with food preparation (e.g., peeling / chopping vegetables, making sandwiches and salads)Supporting the preparation and service of functions and conferencesMaintaining food hygiene, security, and safety standards

Desired Skills And Experience

The ideal candidate will have :

Experience assisting in kitchens, food preparation and / or customer serviceAbility to work well independently and as part of a teamKnowledge of OH&S and food safety practicesFull driver's licence required
