The Opportunity:

This role sits within our business unit of Oncology. Your role reports to the Head of Medical and has 2 direct reports. Your position will be office-based in the State of New South Wales in Australia at our head office in Macquarie Park. This is a newly created role that will lead our Oncology Therapeutic Area from pre-launch through to post-launch. This role will be a leadership position of 2 MSLs covering this specialty and working closely with the brand teams to align on the brand strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the medical strategy in alignment with local brand strategy.
  • Conduct field visits to engage and have scientific exchanges to deliver value.
  • Collaborate with internal brand leads to drive patient access to treatment across potential accessibilities.
  • Lead and mentor 2 MSLs to align with the company key objectives.
  • Extensive experience working within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience/knowledge of working cross-functionally with brand management teams.
  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent within Science/Medical and/or Life Sciences.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience and knowledge of working within a medical affairs function.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

  • Demonstrate the ability to interpret, evaluate, and present clinical data.
  • Leadership experience of either direct or indirect reports.

Education:

  • Preferred master's degree in science, Business, or equivalent.

Additional Information:

  • This is a permanent, full-time role.
  • This position follows our hybrid working model, requiring a blend of home and a minimum of 2 days per week in our Sydney office. Flexibility may be required based on business needs.
  • Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
  • Candidates must have full work rights for Australia.
