Overview

Cook role at G8 Education Ltd (Grasshoppers Early Learning Centre – Hoppers). This role is full-time, working with up to 107 children daily.

The Opportunity

Weekly pay | 10% above award wage with a further 5% increase in Dec 2025 | 50% of childcare fees.

This role is full-time, working 38 hours per week: 7am to 3pm Monday to Thursday and 7am to 3.30pm on Friday.

About Us

Our Centre, Grasshoppers Early Learning Centre – Hoppers, caters for up to 107 children. We provide indoor and outdoor play areas, age-appropriate learning resources, and a range of activities. Our menus meet nutritional guidelines and support children to thrive mentally and physically. You will feel valued in a supportive and fun work environment.

Operating hours are from 6am to 6pm, and we are family oriented within the local community. The Cook will have access to Woolworths at Work menu cooking four hot meals per week and one day of cold foods, with baking morning and afternoon teas. About You
  • Experienced in menu planning, budgeting, stock ordering and control
  • Experienced in dietary and allergy safe requirements
  • Experience maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment in accordance with Food Safety regulations
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Available for set shift days and times Monday to Friday

Successful Applicants must hold

  • A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an ACECQA approved Early Childhood qualification and experience in a cook role
  • A current Working with Children's Check / Blue Card / DCSI Clearance and First Aid
  • Completed or willing to complete Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
