The People Plugin is proud to be partnering with PixelForce, an award-winning app development agency behind SWEAT (the world's #1 fitness app) and other multi-million dollar success stories based in Adelaide, to find an exceptional Head of Operations. This is a rare opportunity to step into a strategic leadership role at the heart of one of Australia's most exciting technology businesses.

As Head of Operations, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence across PixelForce's Business Operations and Client Operations functions. From implementing technology-enabled efficiencies to shaping a performance-led culture and governance frameworks, this role is about creating the infrastructure that enables scale, profitability, and outstanding client outcomes. You'll report directly to the executive team and play a critical role in shaping the next phase of PixelForce's global growth.

If you're a commercially minded operator with deep experience in scaling professional services or tech businesses — and a passion for working smarter, not harder — this could be your next big move.

Why This Role Matters

  • Shape the operational backbone of a company targeting $10M+ revenue within 3 years
  • Build the frameworks that will define how high-performance tech agencies operate
  • Work directly with founders who've proven they can scale businesses to 9-figure exits
Your Impact & Responsibilities: You'll report directly to the CEO and lead a combined team of 6+ across Business Operations (Finance, People, Legal) and Client Operations (Service Delivery, Account Management).

Strategic Leadership & Alignment
  • Drive company-wide operational strategy aligned with PixelForce's long-term vision
  • Lead business planning across cross-functional teams and communicate priorities clearly
Performance Culture & Process Improvement
  • Champion technology-enabled automation to improve productivity and reduce manual work
  • Establish KPIs, reporting frameworks, and governance that drive a high-performance mindset
Business Operations Oversight
  • Own financial reporting, forecasting, and operational dashboards
  • Work closely with legal, finance, and people teams to manage risk, compliance, and cost
Client Operations Leadership
  • Ensure client success by developing delivery frameworks and team capability
  • Maintain exceptional service standards, with a focus on retention and satisfaction
Your First 12 Months PixelForce is at an inflection point—scaling from successful Adelaide agency to global digital partner. With 30% of clients now international and ambitious revenue targets ahead, your initial focus will be:
  • Implementing scalable financial reporting systems for international growth
  • Establishing governance frameworks for our rapidly expanding team
  • Building client success processes that maintain premium standards during scale
  • Creating operational dashboards that give leadership confidence for strategic decisions
About You: You're the operations leader who's successfully lead a professional services or tech business through rapid growth phases. You've been the person who built the financial reporting systems that gave leadership confidence to make big decisions, implemented the service delivery frameworks that maintained 95%+ client satisfaction and designed the operational processes that eliminated bottlenecks before they killed momentum.

You thrive on turning operational chaos into competitive advantage. Whether it's building the dashboards that provide real-time business visibility, implementing the governance structures that keep high-growth teams aligned, or designing the client success frameworks that turn customers into advocates - you see systems thinking as a strategic weapon.

Above all, you're a builder — someone who sees opportunity in ambiguity and thrives in a fast-paced environment where results matter, and culture is everything.

Essential Skills & Experience:
  • 10+ years in senior operations leadership roles, ideally in tech or professional services
  • Proven ability to scale systems, processes, and teams in high-growth environments
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen
  • Skilled in digital transformation, automation, and operational tooling
  • Exceptional communicator and cross-functional collaborator
  • Comfortable operating at COO-level, with a track record of making data-led strategic decisions
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or related field (MBA highly regarded)
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with AI/automation tools as productivity enablers
  • Background scaling operations in technology companies ($5M+ revenue)
  • Knowledge of Australian business compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Professional certifications in process improvement or operational excellence
Why Join PixelForce?PixelForce is a South Australian success story that values collaboration, integrity, and innovation.
