Service Controller – Head Office, Normanton

Job Function:To ensure the smooth, efficient and cost-effective running of the Service Team.

Reporting to: WHN Service Desk Senior

Liaising with: Customers and 3 rd Party Servicing Contractors.

The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator with a professional telephone manner, excellent at problem solving, scheduling and developing successful relationships with customers & contractors.

Responsibilities:

  • Receiving Service/Maintenance calls and providing solutions by liaising with the relevant suppliers.
  • Logging and creation of jobs on Internal IT system (Syrinx).
  • Ensure all records are maintained on Syrinx.
  • Produce various reports based on Maintenance schedules.
  • Provide a high level of accuracy and detail on all records created within Syrinx.
  • Proactively booking PMI/Tacho calibrations/Servicing via incoming calls, emails, or alerts through our internal ordering system for units and vehicles.
  • Communicating effectively with other colleagues and providing a helpful and friendly point of contact.
  • Ensuring the accurate administration of waste notes and orders, maintaining system and paperwork accuracyand ensure that this is completed in a timely and accurate manner internally and externally.
  • Booking Electrical Testing.
  • Checking on/off hires to ensure compliance isn't missed.
  • Raising purchase orders and sending recharges.
  • Any other duties requested by your manager.
  • Follow company's Employee handbook policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Experience in a similar role (desirable, full training will be provided).
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Good PC skills including use of Outlook, Word & Excel.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Good geographical knowledge (desirable but not essential).
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Good multitasking and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
