This senior leadership role will play a key part in accelerating commercial outcomes through focused channel strategy, stakeholder engagement, and agile execution, particularly across independent pharmacy, health food stores, and wellness retailers.

About the Role

The Head of Independent Pharmacy will take full ownership of the commercial performance across this diverse and complex customer base. You'll lead a small but high-performing team and work closely with local and global stakeholders to deliver growth across a fragmented, relationship-driven landscape.

This is a unique opportunity for a commercially minded leader who thrives in navigating complexity and can bring structure, clarity, and ambition to an evolving part of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and lead the pharmacy and health channel strategy, with a focus on independent groups, buying alliances, health food chains, and key wellness retailers;
  • Drive profitable growth through effective pricing, trade terms, ROI discipline and margin management;
  • Strengthen customer partnerships across fragmented accounts, building trust and strategic alignment with buying groups, banner pharmacies, and independent retailers;
  • Identify and prioritise channel opportunities, leveraging data and insights to focus on high-potential partners and regions;
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, category, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure effective execution and customer delivery;
  • Bring structure and scalability to a previously under-developed channel, including identifying where digital, field, and distributor partners can add value; and
  • Stay ahead of industry trends across healthcare, pharmacy, and wellness to drive innovation and proactive customer engagement.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Proven track record in senior commercial or channel leadership roles, ideally within FMCG, consumer healthcare or pharmacy channels;
  • Deep understanding of the independent pharmacy landscape in Australia, including banner groups, wholesaler dynamics and health store networks;
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience owning P&L and building customer-focused plans;
  • Experience managing and motivating a team through change and growth;
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and build frameworks in fragmented channels;
  • A strategic thinker with strong influencing skills and an agile mindset.
