Who we are looking for

Charles River is looking to expand its established Implementation Services Team. The Consultant is responsible for all aspects of implementation for the Charles River IMS. They need to become a product expert quickly and stay up-to-date with product and industry changes. A Consultant manages the competing demands of assigned clients, operating both administratively and hands-on.

The ideal candidate will have a mix of asset management/business knowledge, business analysis, project experience, relationship management, and implementation experience. They should be comfortable managing large and complex implementation projects, addressing associated issues individually or as part of a team.

The team you will join is part of Charles River Development (CRD), acquired by State Street in 2018. CRD develops enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in investment, wealth management, and hedge funds. We launched the first open front-to-back platform, State Street Alpha, in 2019.

What you will be responsible for

• Leading or co-managing implementation projects for CRD
• Serving as a single point of contact for clients
• Exhibiting superior client-facing and communication skills, engaging with senior stakeholders/clients
• Providing ongoing communication and evaluation of project status
• Interpreting workflow analysis documents and converting them into configuration specifications for CR IMS
• Guiding customers on best practices for implementation and workflow configuration
• Executing daily project plan steps
• Understanding and documenting client needs
• Leading clients in utilizing CRD products and services effectively
• Facilitating conference calls and meetings with other consultants and product experts
• Managing training and consulting resource requests
• Monitoring and assisting with issue escalation processes
• Responding to additional product requests
• Coordinating work with CRD representatives in other locations
• Staying informed about industry trends and changes

What we value

• Experience managing large or multiple smaller projects
• Extensive front-office experience (order management, dealing with fund managers/traders)
• Experience with Charles River Trading System or similar applications
• Strong market instrument knowledge, e.g., fixed income, derivatives
• Some technical knowledge, ideally SQL
• Experience with full lifecycle implementation
• Experience working with users or clients from technical or business backgrounds
• Third-level qualification, preferably a technical bachelor's degree
• Willingness to travel up to 50% per year
• Flexibility with schedule and ability to work beyond regular hours

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Mathematical Finance, Economics, or Computer Science from a leading university
• Advanced degree or industry certification such as CFA is a plus
• 8-10 years of progressively responsible experience in financial or software services, with a background in financial market information systems preferred
