What You'll Be Doing

Provide high quality clinical social work care to patients and families of the Royal Hospital for Women during the perinatal period consistent with the policies, procedures and standards of NSW Health, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) and utilizing clinical expertise and specialist knowledge.

Selection Criteria
  • Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
  • Extensive post graduate hospital experience in clinical social work practice within perinatal/women's health
  • Knowledge and experience in working with issues of attachment, bereavement, trauma, child protection and domestic and family violence
  • Demonstrated high level negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills
  • Post graduate experience in working with Indigenous people and marginalised groups
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent judgment when dealing with novel, complex or critical nature
