Casual VE Teacher

• Casual hours, commencing September

• Teaching into C3416 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability), C4430 Certificate IV in Disability Services and C5440 Diploma of Leadership in Disability Services

• Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, however, may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University.

About You

As a Casual Aged Care & Disability Services Teacher within RMIT's College of Vocational Education, you will be mainly responsible for the delivery of course material, assessing students and supervising students enrolled in selected courses within the program.

You will participate in the program's ongoing review of course content and development, delivery, teaching methods (including online delivery methods) and methods of students' assessment. Your performance will be underpinned by participation in relevant activities which ensure your vocational competence meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.

We are looking for casual teachers to assist in subjects in Individual Support Ageing and Disability Services.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• A qualification in the TAE40116 or TAE40122 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its equivalent; or a higher-level qualification in adult education

• Current industry experience within Ageing and Disability

• PCA, EN, RN and Disability or other relevant qualifications

• Demonstrated experience of teaching in Vocational Education is desirable

• Hold an Employee Working with Children card (Victoria)
