Overview

Cyber Security Specialist – SOC & Incident Response – Canberra (Hybrid). 24-month contract with possible extensions. Clearance: NV1 (Australian citizen required). Start: Mid-November 2025.

Purpose: Deliver cyber security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management services for complex ICT environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyse security events via SIEM (Splunk)
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and supply chain risk analysis
  • Advise product teams on logging and monitoring implementation
  • SOC analyst or cyber security certifications (CompTIA CSA+, EC-Council CSA, GIAC GCIH)
  • Incident response and SIEM configuration experience
  • OSINT analysis skills
  • Security framework application experience
Qualifications
  • Experience in security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management
  • Certifications: CompTIA CSA+, EC-Council CSA, GIAC GCIH or equivalent
  • OSINT analysis and security framework implementation experience
