About This OpportunityJoin the Yu Group at AIBN and work on an NHMRC-funded project focusing on nanotechnology and cancer immunotherapy. Develop your research profile in a high-performing team using state-of-the-art facilities. In this role, you will contribute to student supervision and research development, as well as service and engagement activities.
Key Responsibilities- Research: Develop and contribute to a research program, collaborate on projects, seek and manage funding, publish in reputable journals, apply best practice methodologies, and participate in project discussions.
- Supervision and Researcher Development: Supervise Honours and Higher Degree by Research students, supervise and manage employees, provide performance feedback and training, resolve conflicts, and ensure correct remuneration and benefits.
- Citizenship and Service: Develop partnerships, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, engage in internal service roles and committees, perform administrative functions, support colleagues, and uphold university values.

About You- Completion or near completion of a PhD in research areas relevant to nanomedicine and cancer immunotherapy.
- An excellent research profile in the discipline areas.
- Evidence of quality publications in refereed journals and presenting at conferences.
- Evidence of contributions towards obtaining external research funding.
- Some experience in internal service roles and external activities.
The successful candidate may be required to complete pre-employment checks (e.g., right to work in Australia, criminal check, education check). Relocation assistance may be available for interstate or overseas hires. Life in Queensland's Sunshine State is a consideration.
