About the Opportunity
Are you ready to play a pivotal role in shaping the infrastructure of a vibrant city? The City of Adelaide seeks an exceptional Strategic Project Manager to lead two distinct and significant projects; the Torrens Weir Rehabilitation and Resilient Flood Planning. You will also have responsibility for delivery of the City of Adelaide Stormwater Management Plans (CBD and North Adelaide). This role is central to our commitment to sustainably managing and enhancing our city's infrastructure, ensuring it supports our community now and into the future.

In this role you will be engaging in:

  • Strategic Project Management : Lead the planning, design, and execution of a program of significant projects with a critical focus on water infrastructure, asset management and climate resilience.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement : Work collaboratively across various departments and external stakeholders to deliver projects aligning with the City of Adelaide's strategic goals and community needs.
  • Leadership and Innovation : In this role, you will ensure projects are delivered through a whole-of-life project management process in accordance with the agreed scope, cost, time, and high level of quality.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experienced : Proven track record in Project Management, specifically in the area of delivering across multiple complex programs of work.
  • Skilled Negotiator : Exceptional ability to manage and engage with diverse stakeholders, balancing competing interests and meeting project objectives.
  • Problem Solver : Ability to thrive in a complex, fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with a focus on delivering results.
  • Delivery Skills : Strong planning, financial management, and procurement skills; adept in contract management and compliance with relevant legislation.
