About the Opportunity

Are you ready to play a pivotal role in shaping the infrastructure of a vibrant city? The City of Adelaide seeks an exceptional Strategic Project Manager to lead two significant projects: the Torrens Weir Rehabilitation and Resilient Flood Planning. You will also be responsible for delivering the City of Adelaide Stormwater Management Plans for the CBD and North Adelaide. This role is central to our commitment to sustainably managing and enhancing our city's infrastructure to support our community now and into the future.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Project Management: Lead the planning, design, and execution of major water infrastructure projects, asset management, and climate resilience initiatives.
  2. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Work with various departments and external stakeholders to ensure projects align with strategic goals and community needs.
  3. Leadership and Innovation: Ensure project delivery through a comprehensive whole-of-life management process, adhering to scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Experience: Proven track record in project management across complex programs.
  • Negotiation Skills: Ability to manage diverse stakeholders, balancing interests and achieving objectives.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Delivery Skills: Strong planning, financial, and procurement skills, with knowledge of contract management and legislation.
