Job Description

SGS is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the team in Kalgoorlie. This role is crucial in ensuring our equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably within a dynamic laboratory environment. This position is not FIFO; the successful candidate must be based in Kalgoorlie.

Duties Include, But Not Limited To
  • Perform both breakdown and scheduled maintenance on manual equipment.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and collaborate with laboratory staff to implement long-term solutions.
  • Analyze plant and equipment performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement necessary changes.
  • Contribute to projects aimed at enhancing process efficiency and the reliability of automated systems.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules, adjusting as needed.
Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • A qualified mechanical fitter with experience in production line or factory process control systems.
  • Previous experience with control systems in an industrial environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Excel.
