Main Duties/Responsibilities

Assist in providing a high-quality long day care service that meets the expectations of the Approved Provider, families, and children. Supported by an experienced team, this role involves caring for families within the community. The position requires working within the centre's philosophy, policies, procedures, and the National Quality Framework.

  • Assist in program planning based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
  • Contribute to and assist in documenting program evaluations.
  • Actively engage with children during program implementation.
  • Build positive relationships with other educators.
  • Work as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and cooperation to ensure efficient service operation and high morale.
  • Collaborate with families, maintaining regular communication regarding their children's care and needs, and encourage family involvement in the service.
Experience

Experience in a childcare setting is preferred.

  • Certificate III in Early Childhood Education or
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or
  • Experience working with the 0-5 age group
  • Understanding of the National Quality Framework and EYLF
  • Current Working with Children's Check
  • Current First Aid certification
  • Experience in programming cycle development and implementation is desirable.
