As the Clinical Practice and Risk Advisor you will provide strategic leadership and expert guidance in clinical practice, quality systems, and risk management within aged care settings. The role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, driving continuous improvement, supporting remediation of non-compliance, and promoting resident-centered care through robust clinical governance.

Key Responsibilities :

Support the implementation and monitoring of clinical governance systems at Palm Lake Care.

Design and oversee remediation plans following identified gaps in quality, resident assessment and care planning or other areas related to aged care compliance.

Promote evidence-based practice and support clinical staff with expert clinical advice to manage complex resident care cases.

Lead development and documentation of tailored remediation plans to address areas of non-compliance or concern and monitor progress to achieve targets and evaluate effectiveness.

Prepare concise, actionable reports for stakeholders, including executive teams and regulatory authorities.

Develop and deliver targeted training and structured feedback where adverse trends are identified and or skill deficits are identified in staff members.

Mentor and coach managers and staff through change processes, risk management and investigation processes and remediation and improvement initiatives.

Act as a mentor and role model, promoting Palm Lake Care's vision, purpose, and priorities.

Build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders, including residents, staff, and external partners.

Participate in site visits and meetings with service staff and management to discuss clinical care concerns.

About You :

Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration.

Demonstrated understanding and compliance with the Aged Care Quality standards.

Resilient and solutions-focused leader with strong collaboration skills.

Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to convey information clearly, concisely and appropriately to diverse audiences.

Extensive experience in aged care clinical governance and risk-based oversight.

Willingness to travel frequently to various Palm Lake Care locations.
