Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Buscojobs Full time

About John Holland

We're dedicated to transforming lives by solving complex challenges across various industries, including infrastructure, property, rail, building, and water projects in Australia, New Zealand, and South East Asia.

Our work improves communities—making them more connected, accessible, and better places to live. We focus on why we do it, not just what we do, setting us apart from competitors.

About the Project

John Holland has been selected as the preferred contractor for the North-East Link project, specifically the Hoddle St to Bourke Road package. The Eastern Hoddle Bourke Alliance (EHBA), comprising John Holland, Seymour Whyte, Mott MacDonald, Jacobs Group, and MRPV, will deliver this project.

The scope includes upgrading six kilometers of the freeway with new lanes, bridge enhancements, urban noise walls, a dedicated busway separated from mainline traffic, and a new bridge over the Yarra River.

The project involves:

  1. Widening 6km of the Eastern Freeway to add traffic lanes
  2. Constructing a 3km dedicated busway
  3. Building significant structures, including 600m of bridges, including a 180m architectural steel shared use path bridge over the Yarra River
  4. Implementing ITS, retaining walls, stormwater drainage, noise walls, lighting, and signage

The site is located around the Chandler Highway/Eastern Freeway interchange.
