Overview

Community Aged Care Worker - Permanent Part Time - 25 hrs per week - Illawarra

Join BCR Communities as a dedicated Community Care Worker, where you\'ll provide person-centred care within a family-friendly environment. You will be part of a caring and dedicated team that prioritises the well-being of Seniors in our community, providing essential support and companionship to help them maintain independence and quality of life. This role is part-time (up to 25 hours per week); casual options may be considered.

Responsibilities
  • Visit clients in their own homes and support them with community access or engage in individual and group activities at respite facilities (Bomaderry, Nowra, Culburra, Callala and surrounding areas).
  • Provide personal care (e.g., assistance with showering) and other personal support; assist with medications as required.
  • Shop, prepare meals, and assist with light housekeeping.
  • Provide respite and social support, share common interests, and provide companionship.
Qualifications
  • Australian Federal Police clearance (no disclosable outcomes)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or Home and Community Care) or equivalent
  • Assist with Clients Medication certification or willingness to attain
  • Driver\'s Licence with safe driving record; copy of uncertified driving record
  • Current car registration & insurance (comprehensive)
  • Working with Children Check Clearance
  • COVID-19 vaccination
  • Available to work 5 days – Monday to Friday
Hours and Shifts

Flexible, part-time shifts available (preferably five days, Monday to Friday). Availability for a mix of morning and afternoon/evening shifts (from 7am to 7pm) is preferred.
