Civmec offers a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic HR / IR professional to join our dynamic Henderson team. Collaborate with a seasoned HR team, enhance your skill set, and support a variety of exciting local and FIFO projects in the Construction and Engineering industry. This role provides the perfect blend of professional growth and impactful work in a vibrant, supportive environment. It is ideal for an experienced HR Officer or an emerging HR / IR Advisor eager to further develop their expertise in the resource industry.

The Role

You will provide advice to employees and the company on effective management of employee relations, including:

  • Interpretation of employment contracts, enterprise agreements, and legislation
  • Performance management
  • Counselling / Discipline and Termination
  • Grievance Management
  • Providing advice on HR procedures and systems, ensuring effective application throughout the company
  • Identifying human resource issues and appropriate interventions
  • Coordinating Right of Entry visits, including dispute resolutions

About You

To be successful, you will possess:

  • A drive towards continuous improvement
  • Previous experience managing complex IR issues on multidiscipline sites within similar industries
  • Outstanding communication and written skills
  • A Human Resources / Industrial Relations degree or qualification is preferred
  • Previous work experience in a similar position
  • Strong knowledge of the industrial relationship framework and Fair Work Act
