Senior Project Engineer

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will report directly to the Engineering Manager and take ownership of high-impact capital projects. You will be responsible for managing large-scale engineering initiatives, driving change, and building robust systems and processes to support the site's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage capital engineering projects from concept through implementation, ensuring delivery on time
• Develop project scopes, budgets, timelines, and resource plans; oversee procurement and supplier negotiations for equipment and services.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders through effective communication, presentations, and workshops to drive alignment and project endorsement.
• Determine and secure project resource requirements; support recruitment and manage day-to-day project execution across cross-functional teams.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to manage project interdependencies and ensure smooth execution.
• Track, report, and communicate progress on capital project plans, ensuring transparency and accountability across all levels.

What You'll Bring

• Minimum of 7 years of engineering experience in project management, ideally within FMCG, manufacturing, or a regulated industry.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical teams across design, construction, commissioning, and operational phases.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Analytical problem-solver with demonstrated experience in root cause analysis and structured project delivery.
• Experience managing and optimizing asset upgrade projects to deliver tangible business benefits.
