On a 6-month contract reporting to the Manager, Incident Management, the Risk Analyst plays a vital role within the Line 1 Risk and Compliance Team in the Member Domain. You will provide guidance and support to the Risk and Compliance Team and key stakeholders in the end-to-end management of incidents, including conducting thorough root cause analysis and assessing incidents. In this role, you will help identify risk reduction activities, recommend control enhancements or new controls, and contribute to delivering balanced business outcomes while continuously improving Fund processes and controls.

Your New Role

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following duties.

  • Collaborate with incident owners to conduct initial investigations, gathering information to assess the nature and impact of incidents and support effective management and resolution.
  • Perform root cause analysis and identify opportunities for process or control improvements where applicable.
  • Assist the business in identifying and developing sustainable, commercially viable solutions to prevent future incidents.
  • Monitor incidents proactively, ensuring they are managed effectively and all key activities are completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Maintain the integrity of incident and breach reporting data to support accurate reporting and generate insights that improve decision-making.

What You\'ll Need

  • 3+ years\' experience in operations, Risk or Compliance, preferably in financial services.
  • Superannuation experience highly advantageous
  • Experience in incident, breach and/or fraud management highly desirable, including use of GRC technologies
  • Working knowledge of risk and compliance frameworks including incident and breach management
  • Strong understanding of controls management practices including root cause analysis
  • Critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a structured approach to solving problems
  • Strong written and oral communication/interpersonal skills with the ability to present ideas to a range of audiences
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships
