Join our team as an audit trainee at PKF

PKF are looking for a number of candidates to join our team in trainee positions. The role is a perfect opportunity to gain exposure to the provision of audit and assurance services in a professional working environment.

The opportunity

Are you a university student completing a commerce degree, ready to kickstart your career in accounting?

Our Audit and Assurance team is growing, and we are looking for enthusiastic students to join our Sydney and Newcastle Audit Teams, with commencement date in January 2026.

Key responsibilities

You will be contributing to the team from day one and must be able to demonstrate the skills, motivation, and commitment required to work on a wide range of audit engagements across a multitude of industries.

You'll have access to best practice data analytics for audit methodologies to ensure our clients and people obtain the best outcomes.

What you need to apply

For our trainee positions, we are looking for more than just technical accounting knowledge. Important attributes include:

  • Enthusiasm, confidence, and excellent communication skills
  • A strong work ethic, taking pride in and ownership of your work
  • You know how to challenge the status quo and willingness to learn how to solve complex problems
  • Do your best work in a fast paced, agile, and dynamic team
  • Are keen to take your career to the next level supported by a team and firm that will back you
  • Completing a Bachelors Degree, preferably majoring in Accounting
  • Desire and eligibility to complete CA
  • Current Australian full time working rights
  • Past professional experience will be viewed favourably, although not essential
  • Are based in Newcastle or Sydney
