The opportunity

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to kickstart your career in accounting? PKF Sydney and Newcastle, a key member of the PKF International Network, is an innovative multi-disciplinary accounting firm. We are seeking motivated individuals to join our experienced business advisory services team in 2026.

Key responsibilities

You will work with an experienced team,

Prepare, analyse and review accounts, income tax returns, company annual returns, trust tax returns, Business Activity Statements, Fringe Benefit Tax returns and notices of assessment

Preparation and review of monthly/quarterly management accounts

Ad-hoc assistance with maintenance of accounting records for various small/medium businesses

Interacting directly with clients and resolving queries as they arise in relation to tax and accounting matters

Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other regulatory bodies when required

Preparation of workers compensation insurance renewal declaration forms

Assist with ad hoc projects and provide tax advice to the business

What you need to apply

Ideal Candidate:

Confident in both written and verbal communication

High attention to detail

Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Knowledge of computerised accounting packages (e.g., Xero, MYOB)
