Permanent part-time (0.4FTE) Teacher - Learning Support Coordinator role at the Department of Education, Western Australia. Term 4, 2025 start. This position is part of a recruitment pilot designed to simplify the application process for teachers. A mandatory CV template is provided for use. Application requires character-limited responses addressing two AITSL domains at application stage; the remaining AITSL domain will be assessed during further assessment for shortlisted applicants. The RoleThis position can be matched with a classroom teaching component to increase permanent FTE provided. The start date is negotiable with the successful candidate.
At Victoria Park Primary School VPPS the Learning Support Coordinator is an identified staff member who has experience in inclusive education. You will direct and indirect support and work as an integral member of the student services team under the student services Deputy Principal. You will demonstrate proficiency in achieving planned outcomes within a diverse school community with knowledge of contemporary and evidence-based practices, with a focus on individual student needs and a philosophy of every child as a successful learner.
Responsibilities- Managing Case Conferences schedule, meetings and maintaining accurate records
- Follow up and support staff with actions from Case Conferences
- Communicate with all stakeholders
- Support IEP development using SEN Planning
- Work as an integral member of the Student Services Team
- Provide PL for staff and community to improve student outcomes in Special Education Needs
- Provide support where required to SNEA
- Provide observations, modelling and feedback to staff in Special Education needs
- Have knowledge of ABLEWA and support staff in implementation
- Resource Management
