The Team:
Work as part of the dedicated Nursing and Midwifery education service within Hospitals South. The service works in partnership with operational areas to achieve quality education service and outcomes for nurses and midwives employed across diverse areas of practice.
The Role:
This role will work as part of the broader clinical nurse and clinical midwife education team in the delivery of the education needs for Nursing and Midwifery in Hospitals South. The role will have the portfolio of the Older Persons Acute Care ward 10K-East based at the Royal Hobart Hospital. It is expected this role will work in a nursing and midwifery professional education framework, applying high level knowledge of nursing practice and education expertise in achieving outcomes.
You will need:
- Demonstrated high level knowledge, skills and clinical expertise and the ability to lead nursing practice through the principles of Practice Development.
- Ability to apply facilitation skills, learning and evaluation strategies in the clinical context, to further the development of a person-centred culture including the implementation and evaluation of professional development, education and training activities.
- Sound knowledge of contemporary education, health and professional development issues and their impact on the knowledge and skill requirements of the nursing workforce.

Details of appointment:
Fixed term, part time, day worker position, working 48 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of approximately twelve (12) months.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary:$114,851 to $121,886 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance withNurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type

Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
Holds, or is currently working towards, postgraduate qualifications in education and/or clinical teaching and learning
Holds, or is currently working towards, postgraduate qualifications around clinical/practice speciality as relevant to the position
