About the role

Hancock Iron Ore is currently seeking aTrainer Assessor – Mobile Maintenanceto join the team based at the Roy Hill mine. Reporting to the Supervisor Training, you will deliver engaging training, conduct assessments, and lead competency-based activities to ensure ourmobile maintenance teamshave the skills and confidence to perform their roles safely and effectively. From initial onboarding through to ongoing refresher programs and competency-based training and assessment, you will make sure every team member is equipped to perform at their best in their specific roles.

Duties:

  • Develop and deliver training programs for mobile maintenance employees, including both theoretical and practical components.
  • Conduct Verification of Competency (VOC) assessments of employees in mobile maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies
  • Provide feedback and coaching to employees to support their ongoing development and improvement
  • Collaborate with the broader Organisational Capability team to deliver high-quality training and drive continuous improvement opportunities
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in mobile maintenance training and assessment
  • Support the development and review of training materials and resources to ensure currency and relevance

Skills and Experience

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or working towards
  • High risk work assessor accreditation will be highly regarded
  • Strong knowledge of mobile maintenance equipment, processes, and safety procedures
  • Experience in mobile maintenance within the mining industry is highly desirable
  • Proven experience delivering training programs and conducting assessments
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise, and manage multiple deadlines effectively
  • Confident in using learning management systems to support training delivery
  • Open "C" Class Manual Licence or above
  • Rigging, Dogging, EWP, Crane and Forklift tickets will be well regarded
