Training Alliance Groupis thrilled to announce that we have been selected to deliver the program across five regions in Western Australia. We are committed to providing exceptional support and resources to parents in their journey towards achieving their goals.

About the Role

The Parent Pathways Program aims to support parents and caregivers by offering vital guidance and resources to help them navigate their parenting journey. As a Mentor, you will play a key role in empowering parents, fostering positive development, and connecting them to essential community resources.

Core activities include:

  • Conduct one-on-one mentoring sessions, offering guidance on parenting styles, child development, and community resources.
  • Facilitate group sessions, leading discussions and activities that promote positive parenting and community engagement.
  • Connect parents with relevant community resources.
  • Help parents to identify their personal, education and work goals.
  • Assist in planning and executing program events and activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of mentoring sessions, group activities, and resource referrals.
  • Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to enhance program reach and impact.
  • Travel to outreach sites within your region as needed.
  • Undertake any additional responsibilities required by the program.

About You

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Passionate about working with our clients and local community networks
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in an autonomous environment
  • An understanding of local services to support parents to address barriers
  • Possess administration and computer skills
  • Have a current driver's licence.
  • Satisfy a pre-employment check including a National Police Check and a Working with Children Check.

Skills & Experience:

You are able to demonstrate the below competencies:

  • Have or working towards a Certificate III or IV level of accreditation in Community Services, Youth Work, or a related field.
  • Excellent people skills which can be used to build confidence and motivate people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Lived experience in the field of parenting or child development is highly desirable.
  • Have knowledge of the local labour market, parent support groups and local stakeholders to support participant goals.
