Overview

For a digital client of expertech we are currently looking for a front end developer | React to work on various digital web projects. This React role is a hands-on position that can be worked from home anywhere in Australia.

Responsibilities
  • Own the frontend deliverables of allocated projects
  • Develop high-quality, responsive, and scalable web applications using the latest technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, plan, and deliver user-centric solutions
  • Drive the development process and ensure adherence to coding standards, software development best practices, and quality guidelines while being on the tools when required
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in frontend development
  • Work with project managers to estimate project timelines, identify risks and dependencies, and manage project delivery
  • Participate in code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Assist the Head of Frontend Technology in realising the Frontend Team goals
  • Ad hoc duties where required
Qualifications
  • BS or MS degree in computer science, or equivalent 7+ years of work experience
  • 7+ years of experience working in React or similar frameworks, and able to demonstrate strong JavaScript knowledge
  • Experience in Node.js as a backend framework is a plus
  • Proficient in writing testable code using Jest or similar frameworks
  • Proficiency in HTML and CSS frameworks like Tailwind or similar
  • Experience working with microservice architectures
  • Experience using Azure DevOps, JIRA or a similar tool in an Agile-Scrum framework
  • Experience in working in Agile and Scrum teams
  • Experience developing for CMS and Commerce systems enterprise level
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions
  • Proficient understanding of accessibility tools and delivering WCAG accessible solutions

Although the preference for this role is for React Engineers to live in Sydney, this role is WFH and can be worked from anywhere in Australia. Candidates need to have eligible working rights and live in Australia in order to apply for this role.
