Senior Legal Counsel (12-month fixed-term contract)

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Legal team in Perth and are currently looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

As Senior Legal Counsel at VGW, you'll provide strategic, commercially focused legal support, help shape the way we work through ongoing legal operations improvements, and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team by mentoring junior team members.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing clear, strategic legal advice across a wide range of commercial and regulatory matters
• Building strong relationships across the business and helping teams better understand legal risk
• Sharing knowledge and supporting team development through training and mentoring
• Contributing to legal operations improvements and helping evolve internal processes

What you will bring to the role:

• Admitted to practice law in Australia, with strong commercial experience, ideally gained in the technology sector
• Confident drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts, ideally with some IP or licensing experience
• Able to work independently, manage competing priorities and take ownership of your matters
• Comfortable navigating complex legal issues and providing clear, practical advice
• Great communicator and team player, with the ability to build strong relationships across the business
• Prior experience in gaming or working with regulators in highly regulated industries (like the MGA) is advantageous but not required
