About the role

  • One of Kapital's global asset management clients is expanding their investment management technical team to facilitate upcoming projects and transformations. As an Application Support Analyst, you will provide operational and strategic support to investment teams, and manage systems and applications such as Charles River, Simcorp Dimension and/or BlackRock Aladdin.

What's a typical day look like?

  • Provide technical support for critical investment management systems (Charles River, BlackRock Aladdin, Simcorp Dimension).
  • Provide technical support for internal and external applications and integrations.
  • Develop, maintain and support BI reports, automated workflows and data dashboards.
  • Analyse business processes and functions to specify and apply system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors for troubleshooting and testing, offering technical support for applications and integrations.
  • Collaborate with the wider IT Investment team for work requests and changes.
  • Ensure compliance with IT and company policies, following change procedures and liaising with the wider IT Investment team for requests.

About you

  • Must be skilled in supporting investment systems such as Charles River, BlackRock Aladdin and/or Simcorp Dimension.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in an Application Support role.
  • Financial services domain experience and knowledge required.
  • ITIL experience or working knowledge of incident, problem & change management.
  • Exposure to VBA, Python, SQL and other related platforms.
  • Confident with a range of technologies and able to grasp the use of new systems quickly.
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Power Platform and Power BI or other MI solutions.
  • Experience of audit controls and working with internal risk and audit teams.
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem solving.
