Calling out to a commercially minded and skilled Financial Accountant to take on this exciting contract opportunity in a leading utilities business.

Your Day-to-day

  • Manage the end-to-end month-end close process, including preparation and posting of journals, accruals, and prepayments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing, accurate coding, and proper reconciliation of transactions
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Maintain and monitor the general ledger, ensuring all entries are recorded in compliance with accounting standards and company policies
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules for internal and external stakeholders

Who you are:
  • Qualified Accountant (CA, CPA or equivalent)
  • Big 4 background advantageous
  • Previous experience within a commercial business also advantageous
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
