Financial Accountant Position

This role involves working as a financial accountant for our real estate business. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, managing accounting systems, and maintaining effective internal controls.

The ideal candidate will have a professional accounting qualification, at least 3 years of accounting experience, and strong technical skills. They will also have excellent attention to detail, be a team player, and have proficiency in MS Excel.

In addition to their technical skills, the successful candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have a passion for learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage month-end accounting processes, including journal entries, accruals, and prepayments
  • Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
  • Perform account reconciliations and bank reconciliations
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Reconcile general ledger to project budgeting system
  • Prepare interest expense calculations and assist with debt compliance reporting
  • Assist with tax compliance matters, including BAS preparation and tax registrations
  • Prepare annual statutory reports and participate in financial audits
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to ensure efficient and effective financial operations

Requirements:

  • Professional accounting qualification (CA or CPA)
  • At least 3 years of accounting experience
  • Strong technical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
