We are hiring an additional Safety Advisor within our Fulton Hogan Construction Business delivering projects as part of our MRPA contract. This is a site-based role located in Maidstone, for an initial 12 month fixed term contract with the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.

In this role you'll be responsible for:

  • Implementing, educating and driving awareness of safety procedures, policies, SWMS, and processes
  • Conduct audits, site inspections and walkthroughs
  • Assist with incident investigation, reports and recommending practical actions to prevent recurrences
  • Lead and actively participate in pre-start meetings and toolbox talks
  • Liaise and interact with stakeholders, clients, and subcontractors in HSE deliverables
  • Assist operational teams in complying with the HSE Management system
  • Support risk identification and management processes to improve worker risk awareness of work activities

How you'll connect to the role:

  • Certificate IV Occupational Health & Safety (minimum)
  • Prior experience gained within the Civil Construction Industry (ideal) or other high risk work environment (mining/heavy manufacturing etc)
  • Valid drivers licence
  • A strong passion for delivering safety and educating risk awareness
  • Working knowledge of Traffic Management requirements and implementation
  • Knowledge of ICAM incident investigation methodology
  • Experience conducting safety audits and providing safety training
