The OpportunityWe are seeking a Field Service Representative based in Brisbane to work in a dynamic team. You will be supporting the Battlespace Communication System (BCS) Program. BCS is a next-generation networking product that is the centerpiece for multiple projects and campaigns. It combines both developmental and off-the-shelf hardware and software to provide world-leading communications capability for ADF personnel. It can be rapidly deployed from anywhere, and its modular design offers a flexible, scalable solution tailored to various mission needs. Responsibilities- Identify, diagnose, and resolve operational issues with the BCS, collaborating with ADF system users.
- Monitor product operational performance and maintenance activities, collecting technical data to recommend system improvements based on customer feedback.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to ADF BCS users through informal and ad hoc training.
- Serve as a liaison at all levels between ADF BCS users and the system developer, BDA.
- Act as the key point of contact for BDA across all ranks for support services.
- Understand Unit Operation Orders to assist the BCS Support Organisation in planning appropriate support efforts.
- Assist Units in reporting on BCS Network Services Availability and other contract Key Performance Indicators.
- Qualifications in Information Technology / Telecommunications or equivalent, with relevant experience.
- 5-10 years of experience within a Defence or technical environment.
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
