We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join our team as a Field Service Scheduler and Planner. This office-based position, located in Dingley Village, is crucial in managing and coordinating our company's electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance projects. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting our in-house tradespeople, ensuring clear communication among stakeholders while efficiently scheduling tasks.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on Customer Service and Business Support role. You will report to the Scheduler Team Leader and work closely with on-site supervisors, tradespeople, and administration.
Key Responsibilities include:- Liaising with our customers to schedule and deploy technicians to site
- Managing customer interactions over the phone and email
- Developing, implementing, and managing employee schedules to ensure coverage aligns with operational demands
- Coordinating with department heads to understand staffing requirements and address any changes in scheduling needs
- Monitoring and adjusting schedules as necessary to respond to absences, cancellations, and changes in workload
- Utilising scheduling software and tools to optimise roster management and streamline processes
- Communicating effectively with employees regarding their schedules
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to process improvement initiatives
- Demonstrated Planning and Scheduling experience
- Knowledge and experience in a labour-based supply & install company is an advantage
- Ability to easily build rapport and establish trust with clients
- Excellent time management and organisation skills with the ability to work methodically, accurately, and within rigid timelines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong PC skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and business drivers
- Enjoy and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Able to gain the confidence of clients, suppliers, and team members
- Desire to work in a fast-paced business focused on growth and delivering outstanding service
- Personable and able to think laterally
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
