About the positions
The School of Allied Health, Human Services & Sport (SAHHSS) is a leading provider of training for a range of allied health professional disciplines in Victoria. An integral part of the practical learning involves student-led clinics on the Bundoora campus of La Trobe University, providing a supportive environment for students to develop clinical competencies and serve the community, including outreach to schools and community organizations. The clinics are also a base for clinical research.
Reporting to the Clinical Education Lead, Podiatry, the Clinical Educator, Podiatry supports and supervises students in developing their clinical skills while delivering supervised clinical services to patients/clients.
Clinical Educators are experienced clinicians supervising clinical services and overseeing student interactions with patients/clients. A Level B Clinical Educator supervises students in clinical placement subjects, mainly in campus clinics, participates in training and professional development, maintains clinical registration, and assesses students' clinical skills.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for these positions, you will have:
- Master's degree or equivalent, recognized by the University/Profession for the discipline.
- Proven ability to supervise students effectively.
- Ability to teach clinical skills in face-to-face, blended, and online modes.
- High-level oral and written communication skills, with effective interaction with diverse staff and students.
