TransVirtual, a leading provider of Transport Management Software (TMS), is looking to complement its sales talent with an experienced Sales Development Representative for its Australian operations. This role serves as a vital link in servicing enquiries, chasing up a prospect pipeline and carefully qualifying businesses to hand over to our Account Executive channel. You will have a background in building and pursuing a prospect pipeline in a fast-paced environment with monthly sales quotas. You will be comfortable reaching a variety of decision makers from owner-operators and operational leaders to other senior staff. A self-sufficient, go-getter attitude is key, with full sales training and development offered for the right person to advance their career.

Your key stakeholders will be with our Head of Sales, Account Executive, and our General Manager.

Overview

Role: Sales Development Representative – Hybrid. Location: North Sydney, New South Wales, Australia (Remote-friendly with in-person collaboration). Industry: Transport and logistics software (TMS). Responsibilities
  • Act as a vital link in servicing inbound enquiries and chasing an active prospect pipeline.
  • Qualify businesses to hand over to the Account Executive channel.
  • Engage with decision makers across owner-operator, operational leadership, and senior staff levels to generate opportunities.
  • Maintain a self-sufficient approach with a focus on monthly sales quotas and pipeline development.
Essential Skills / Qualifications
  • ~18 months (about 1.5 years) experience in a sales qualification capacity and eagerness to pursue enquiries.
  • Comfort with high-volume outbound calling; strong phone-based selling skills.
  • Experience managing a contact pipeline and CRM updates (HubSpot preferred).
  • Ability to re-engage lost contacts and deliver concise, targeted sales messaging.
  • Attitude and potential for growth; sales training can be provided to develop skills.
  • Experience in collaborating with marketing campaigns to drive effective appointments.
  • History of meeting and exceeding sales quotas based on qualified leads.
  • Ability to think on your feet and adapt to maximize results.
Desired Skills
  • Marketing qualification or degree; relevant maturity in thinking.
  • Understanding of the logistics sector and SaaS businesses.
  • Sound CRM experience with attention to detail and good record-keeping to aid in the sales chase.
  • Ability to connect with customers quickly, qualify, and route to the AE channel.
  • Strong team player mindset and collaboration to achieve common goals.
