Overview

Strategic Insights Analyst role at Qantas. Permanent full-time position based at Mascot headquarters, Sydney.

Are you passionate about data, analysis and insights? This role supports Senior Qantas Executives and Sales Teams to maximise revenue performance within Sales & Distribution and across the Qantas Group.

Responsibilities
  • Develop commercial insights, analysis and reporting to influence executives and assist Sales teams.
  • Support corporate, SME and agency sales account managers to maximise share and revenue outcomes from customer negotiations.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Performance team to report on key revenue drivers and identify trends across key markets and segments.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and knowledge sharing for new reporting requirements, existing models and sales analytics tools.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify alternatives and formulate scenarios; leverage stakeholder management skills to deliver sensitive commercial recommendations.
Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business, Analytics, Aviation or similar.
  • Experience turning raw data into actionable insights and recommendations with a proven track record.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with commercial acumen to develop insights and recommendations.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to use identified performance drivers to make actionable recommendations to improve commercial performance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks for different stakeholders.
  • Preference for experience with Power BI.
