About the role

In this Senior Commercial Bookkeeper position, you will be primarily responsible for partnering with one of our largest entrepreneurial clients, collaborating closely to drive the day-to-day financial and operational management of their business portfolio - across a broad range of industries. In doing so, you will work with a team of Bookkeepers to ensure that the business' daily financial transactions are processed accurately, as well as managing the financial administration tasks for each business. Furthermore, you will collaborate with our client on commercial decisions and play a hands-on role in the daily running of each business. You will build relationships and consistently communicate with a range of external stakeholders, to achieve successful business outcomes for the group.

Your other key responsibilities will include, however are not limited to:

• Developing a strong relationship with the client & being the first point of contact for queries;
• Getting hands-on to manage the daily operations of each business;
• Managing a team and workflows - reviewing work and dealing directly with the client;
• Collaborating with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

About you

Ideally, you will be tertiary qualified in Commerce, Business Management, Accounting or similar and have previous experience in overseeing financial & administrative obligations within a small to medium sized business. You may have played a key role in managing business performance and have a strong understanding of bookkeeping, corporate governance and stakeholder management, demonstrating strong commercial acumen. The successful candidate will be a personable and proactive professional, who thrives on collaborating with others, being hands-on in business operations and making things happen.
