The Opportunity

If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Nurse Triage team. At Amplar Health, we "make health personal" for our clients and employees, promoting a healthier way of working, challenging workplace norms, and increasing flexibility while maintaining performance and satisfaction.

This role allows you to work from home with flexible hours and rosters, and you can be based anywhere in Australia, including regional/rural areas.

As a Triage Nurse within our Virtual Services, you will assist people seeking clinical advice and support, providing health information or provider referrals as needed.

Training and Start Dates

We offer full-time paid comprehensive virtual training (5 days, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm AEST) with start dates on August 11, October 6, and October 20. Full participation in training is mandatory.

Post-training, you will receive ongoing support from senior clinicians.

Hours and FTE

Part-time (22.5 hrs) or full-time (37.5 hrs) fixed-term contracts until June 30, 2026, with potential extension.

Your roster must include at least 70% after-hours work (1500-0700, Monday to Friday, all day Saturday and Sunday, public holidays), fixed on a 2-week rotation, with at least one weekend per fortnight.

Work from Home Requirements

  • Full technology suite provided (computer and phone)
  • Private home office space with a closable door
  • Multitasking between calls, notes, and online resources
  • Reliable internet with minimum 50 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload speeds

About You

The ideal candidate has a passion for customer service, strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and an engaging phone manner. You are self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working to KPIs and targets.

Additional qualifications include:

  • Minimum three years of recent clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse Division 1, with current AHPRA registration
  • Experience in varied nursing fields involving public contact (e.g., A&E, Paediatric, Community Care, Acute Medical/Surgical)
  • Confidence in call centre customer service
  • Ability to work autonomously and resolve problems
  • Familiarity with patient management systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong nursing assessment skills
  • Availability for weekends and nights
  • Comfort with virtual communication platforms
  • Commitment to professional development
  • Experience in a corporate environment
  • Effective team communication skills
