Overview

Seeking a passionate and motivated History teacher to join our school community on a temporary, full-time basis commencing in 2026 to cover a maternity leave position for 12 months. The position is located at St Columba's and is part of Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD).

Responsibilities
  • Teach History to secondary students, Years 7–12.
  • Differentiate instruction to cater for diverse learning needs and maximise student learning.
  • Plan and deliver lessons using effective teaching practices, technology, and appropriate assessment and feedback.
  • Motivate students to achieve and develop a lifelong love of learning.
Essential Qualifications and Accreditations
  • Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).
  • Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% complete).
  • Valid Working with Children Check (for employment purposes).

This position involves working with children. Appointment is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment, including completion of a National Police Check and retention of a valid Working with Children Check.
