Location : Perth Precinct, WA, AU

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Plant Mechanic will join our Perth Branch team on a Full-Time basis. You will be working on a variety of equipment, from the newest groundbreaking Caterpillar technology to working on Caterpillar legacy equipment.

The Perth Branch WesTrac specializes in providing cutting-edge machinery solutions tailored to the evolving needs of the construction industry. Our team is dedicated to delivering innovative, reliable, and efficient Caterpillar equipment and service to enhance operational productivity and safety.

Roster : 5 days on, 2 days off – 10.5 hours (including a meal break)

2 weeks days 06 : 00am-16 : 30pm

1 week afternoons 15 : 00pm-01 : 30am

What You'll Do :

Servicing and maintenance on Caterpillar and non-Caterpillar equipment, including WesTrac's rental and used equipment fleetDiagnostic testing and repairsVariety of warranty repairsPromote, encourage and monitor safety to a high standard within the teamOpportunity to back fill field service when required

Skills & Experience :

Australian Recognised Trade Certificate (Heavy Vehicle Mechanic)Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining high safety standardsCAT equipment experience is highly desirableAbility to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical problems efficientlyAbility to work on various types of machinery and adapt to new technologies and methodsPrecision in assembling, testing, and maintaining equipment to ensure safety and performance standards are met
