THE ROLE

We are currently seeking an experienced Forklift / Side Loader Operator to join our afternoon-shift team, on a full-time basis in Darra, QLD.

This role focuses on contributing to our vision of being fast, flexible and frequent. It is a 'hands-on' role and includes the following tasks:

  • Loading, unloading, receiving, relocating, and storing products accurately;
  • Following warehouse traffic management plans;
  • Manually picking and packing orders when required;
  • Complying with legislated and company WH&S systems;
  • Inspecting and performing minor maintenance on machinery;
  • Adhering to all company policies and legal guidelines;
  • Liaising professionally and politely with stakeholders;
  • Paying close attention to detail in information and data handling; and
  • Undertaking additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Current forklift ticket with a minimum of 3 years of operational experience;
  • Side-loader experience is highly regarded;
  • Strong knowledge of WH&S legislation;
  • Experience loading trucks with products is highly regarded;
  • Demonstrated attention to detail with effective communication skills;
  • Collaborative interpersonal skills;
  • Proficiency in operating technical machinery and RF scanners is desirable;
  • Familiarity with timber warehouse operations is desirable; and
  • Reliability and professionalism evidenced through previous roles.
