Tiimely is a platform technology company powering the next generation of financial services products and credit experiences. Our proprietary AI-driven platform is currently licensed by 2 of Australia's larger banks, ASX Top 100 listed companies, fintechs, as well as our own in-house retail business, Tiimely Home.
Our core values are "Time to be Human", "Time to Take Responsibility", "Time to be Transparent", and "Time to Build Good Bonds". As a certified B Corp, we're committed to doing good through business – and building experiences that benefit all of our stakeholders.
Headquartered in Adelaide with a national team of 130, we're on a mission to transform how Australians access credit through cutting-edge technology and a human-first approach.
The position
Reporting to the Engineering Delivery Manager, the Product Owner at Tiimely will coordinate the squad's backlog, prioritise objectives to support stakeholders, and ensure initiatives are delivered according to the committed schedule.
You will partner with Product-focused stakeholders to understand user needs and create user stories, building deep knowledge of our User Personas and ensuring every decision is anchored in solving real customer problems. You'll gain a detailed understanding of our fintech business, our product suite, and the problems we're solving by using the product, reading documentation, and collaborating with teams across the business.
Representing the customer to your squad, you'll provide context and clarity as they design technical solutions, estimate work, and deliver in agile scrum sprints. You'll also work closely with the Engineering Delivery Manager to align your squad's delivery with program timelines and dependencies, helping track progress and manage risks.
Your other responsibilities will include:
- Proactively communicate progress of initiatives, clarify scope and priorities, and ensure stakeholders are kept informed.
- Act as a bridge between implementation and product teams to ensure shared understanding of goals, priorities, and vision.
- Ensure backlog management by identifying requirement gaps, translating them into user stories, defining acceptance criteria, documenting complexities and dependencies, and ensuring Jira is always up to date (especially at sprint start/end).
- Deeply understand and champion our User Personas; educate your team, role-play scenarios, and use the product hands-on
- Collaborate on agile practices, prioritise work, and plan sprints with your squad.
- Document per-release changes made by your squad.
- Organise and facilitate solution workshops and technical discussions with developers, testers, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in scrum ceremonies and maintain strong knowledge of Agile SAFe framework practices.
- Support in tracking PI progress and coordinating across squads for aligned execution.
- Track delivery milestones, proactively escalate risks or blockers, and manage interdependencies.
- Support resource planning and capacity forecasting with Technical Team Leads and Engineering Delivery Manager.
- Contribute to delivery reporting and status updates for leadership and stakeholders.
- Participate in PI planning and post-PI reviews, gathering feedback and adapting the backlog for improvement.
- Ensure Jira, Confluence, and related systems remain accurate and up to date.
- Proven experience coordinating delivery across multiple teams or squads, managing dependencies and timelines.
- Strong expertise in converting requirements into user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Proficiency in Agile and SAFe practices from sprint planning to PI planning and backlog refinement.
- Capability to facilitate technical discussions and collaborate with developers, testers, and stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to simplify complex ideas and build trust quickly.
- Skilled in identifying risks, removing blockers, and adapting to changing priorities.
- Experience participating in PI planning, aligning backlog with program objectives, and refining scope.
- Commitment to continuous learning and keeping up with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Strong relationship building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- We offer an attractive remuneration package + generous employee share schemes.
- We offer flexible working hours and work-from-home arrangements to balance your work and lifestyle.
- We have a vibrant culture and workspace in Adelaide to help you do great work.
- You'll be part of a company that's growing rapidly, building platform products customers love.
Please let us know if you require any support or adjustments to be made to our hiring process, so that you can participate fully in our recruitment experience.
We're proud to be recognised as a certified Great Place to Work and Best Places to Work for Women in Australia.
