Position: Quality Assurance Manager – full time

Location: Bassendean, WA

Salary: $76,600 per year

Responsibilities
  • Plans and coordinates internal quality reviews in pastry and baked goods production.
  • Identifies improvements in the preparation, decoration, and delivery processes of baked products.
  • Supports the implementation of quality systems in the production and sale of cakes and desserts.
  • Assists in developing strategies to enhance the customer experience in pastry purchases.
  • Contributes to identifying food safety standards and industry regulations relevant to bakery operations.
  • Documents procedures for the preparation, presentation, and sale of artisanal bakery products.
  • Coordinates with suppliers of ingredients and packaging to meet quality specifications.
  • Monitors customer satisfaction regarding the quality and timely delivery of baked goods.
  • Implements statistical tools to control quality in daily pastry and cake production.
  • Prepares reports on the effectiveness of the management system in commercial operations.
  • Advises and trains staff on quality programs focused on customer service and artisanal production.
  • Engages in all aspects of production (making pastry and food products) as required by the production needs of the business, including hands-on production activities within the kitchen such as making food, cleaning and dish washing.
Qualifications
  • Candidate must have a Cert III in Quality Assurance or a minimum of 1 year full-time demonstrable experience.
  • 2–3 years of relevant work experience required for this role.
  • Experience in all aspects of artisan bakery and cafe food production is preferred.
