We are SKYE GROUP PTY LTD a retail and wholesale group that works across a variety of categories including Outdoor, Swimwear and Kidswear. We specialise in representing and distributing international brands like Carter's - OshKosh B'gosh, Columbia Sportswear, Sorel, Mountain Hardwear, Sunseeker Swimwear, Jantzen, FINZ and Poolproof.

This role is for Columbia Sportswear and its associated brands.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a creative, organised, and dynamicSocial Media and Event Coordinator - Columbia Sportswearto join our team. This role will be responsible for managing our online presence across social media platforms, as well as planning and executing in-store and community events that drive engagement and sales. The ideal candidate is a storyteller at heart, with a keen eye for design, a passion for outdoor activities including hiking, camping and snow sports.

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media Management

• Develop, plan, and schedule social media content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and more)
• Create visually compelling content (photos, videos, stories, reels) that showcases products, promotions, and brand personality
• Be a key part of the social content creation by promoting and being the the face of the brand
• Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and foster a strong online community
• Track and analyse social media metrics and adjust strategies as needed to optimise performance
• Collaborate with the sales and design team to highlight featured products and collections

Event Coordination

• Plan and execute in-store and community events such as product launches, seasonal sales, workshops, and customer appreciation events
• Lead out Hike Society program in conjunction with influencers, extranet advocates and asscoiates.
• Work with local influencers, athletes, and media to promote events and partnerships
• Manage event budgets and ensure timely execution
• Capture and share event highlights through social media and store communications

Marketing Support

• Assist with email marketing campaigns, newsletters and paid social.
• Support photo shoots and content creation for digital and print marketing
• Help develop and maintain the store's visual brand identity on social channels

Requirements:

• 1–2 years of experience in social media management, event planning, or a similar role
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with social media platforms, scheduling tools, and basic photo/video editing tools.
• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work weekends or evenings during special events
• Passion for furniture, interior design, and creating meaningful customer experiences

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of social media advertising (Facebook Ads, Instagram promotions, etc.)
• Basic photography/videography skills
• Familiarity with local event networks or influencer communities
