Overview

Spinifex State College - Mount Isa Education and Training Precinct is looking for a motivated Transport Support Officer to manage daily student transport, term-time airport and town transfers, and ensure vehicles are safe and road-ready. The role supports students from across Northwest Queensland in a caring, culturally safe environment. This position is offered in a Permanent Part-Time capacity (0.5 FTE), 38 hours per fortnight.

Responsibilities
  • This role requires transporting students to school in the morning to two campuses.
  • Transporting students between the Residential campus, home locations, essential services and extracurricular activities when required.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures to oversee the maintenance, servicing and compliance of Boarding vehicles, including buses and cars.
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections and coordinate repairs as required.
  • Maintain accurate vehicle logs and fuel records.
  • Conduct risk assessments for travel routes and ensure all vehicles meet safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate transport records, log books and incident reports.
